RentAssist Guide is a small editorial project. We can't help with individual applications, but we want to know about errors and missing information.
What we can help with
- Corrections. If a state, program, or PHA page contains an error, we want to know. Please include the URL and a link to the source you believe is correct.
- Missing PHAs. If your local Public Housing Agency does not appear on its state page, send the agency name, city, state, and (if you have it) the HUD agency code.
- Broken links. If a link on the site does not resolve, send the URL of the page and the broken link.
- Suggestions. Pages you wish existed, programs you wish were better explained, data you wish was easier to find.
What we cannot help with
- Individual applications. We do not take applications. Every application has to go directly to a PHA or property — see the how to apply page.
- Waiting list status checks. Only the PHA you applied to can tell you where you are on its list. We cannot look this up for you.
- Legal advice. If you need an attorney, use LawHelp.org to find free legal aid in your state.
- Emergencies. If you are losing housing within days, call 211. If you are fleeing domestic violence, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233.
Send corrections, suggestions, and link reports to editors@rentassist.guide. We typically reply within a week. Please don't include personally identifying information about your housing situation.
For press inquiries or partnership questions, use the same address with a clear subject line. We will only respond to inquiries from outlets and organizations whose work is verifiable.
